marlene mountain
one-line haiku sequence
january 1986
a sequence before spring
the heat a painting idea remains just that
hugs then everyone leaves
my lawyer tells me her problems flies of summer
on hold the heat
autumn wind another rip off on a good deal
labor day unemployed
we three by the pond he mentions poverty first
autumn day the red tape of it all
doctor's office a halloween skeleton dangles crooked
winter returns another used car
country road beneath the curve sign a commode
heavy snow an excuse to be my age
distracted the poem turns into a grocery list
winter night white clothes in the wash
