early morning wind in the umbrella of the pumpkin stand
jeep   jeep   jeep  jeep  jeep  jeep
woman in a passing van talking to herself talking to me
     alone music from the quartet
     faded flowers of the bed sheets autumn night   
church sign sin the greatest fact of life
near the jr high two day old girl in a dumpster
i'll tell ya the system boys it ain't workin
     midnight some of it scrawled in the thin journal
     mountain lit by quarter moon
