la planète bleue

year after year water contaminated water kills six million children
if there's enough oil in it someone's gonna care
time and other imponderables stuck in the dictionary again
whatever war means besides hell it's popular
snap of silk and satin we'll be making waves in el jadida
draped in secrecy plans to god the world

thanks mother nature for neander valley art as yet unearthed
samourai sinks in alexandria with its waste cargo
scene of the crime shifts from one little girl to the next little girl
long live the royal pain, queen abesi, lokuo, etc.
wouldn't care if the whole dang government quit to plant irises
spring earth smell can't keep my fingers out of it

olives all around in the crook of a tree a raccoon stirs
beneath clothespins thoughts from yesterday
dreams pouring in adding little squiggles to the wall painting
spider plant seeds tiny and black fall thru the cracks
rustle of leaves shove by scraping shove mom's walker
not yet autumn labor day & back-to-school overrule

tutored during the trial young brothers found guilty of 2nd-degree
it's still summer 34c & 88f vying in the afternoon sweat
usa's 'elevated alert' elevated to 'high' yellow to orange chatter
shenandoah and god bless america on the radio she weeps
the drought continues the porch light off early to find pieces of dew
night's hold lingers through shower and the vacuuming

suspended in glue stick glue residue its translucent slime fascination
friday the 13th terror-talk 'hoax' watch your humorous mouth
hickory drops gooey darkening nuts where's that damn nail clipper
garden tools in the truck bed in case they've energy to be used
pin-wheeled syringes stacking up the memorial to a cause that need endure
his kingdom for this new puddle i don't think so

words just tumble out too broken to get back into the mind's pool
stoop and start over again if you must lasso
less jerk-off sessions with images of his acts death row for the dickhead
choir hearts out in unison 100 against 1 40 years later
tho the bible's translated into pig latin still chicken little's without hope
onion skin butterfly cockroach mutation

Drinking Water
An estimated 1.3 billion people in the world's least-developed countries do not have access to
drinking water and approximately 6 million children die each year from drinking
contaminated water. In 2025 the World Bank foresees a general shortage of safe drinking
water in third world countries. Currently, a person in the USA consumes 2.162 m3, whereas a
person in Burkina Faso consumes 20m3 of water per year.
